Uses
- Sealing of surface cracks in preparation for crack injection.
- Concrete surface preparation prior to protective coatings application
- For repair of small cracks, air-pockets and/or blow-holes in concrete walls and floors.
- Smoothing concrete surfaces which are exposed to chemicals
Advantages
- Pre-weight components
- Durability
- Easy application
- Excellent adhesion
- High mechanical strength and high chemical resistance
Chemical Resistance
FARCOTOP EP1,EP2 have good resistance In contact with many kinds of chemical solutions such as: Mineral oils, water and sea water and weak acids. Remark: If there is a particular chemical solution with strong reaction properties, it is recommended to consult with Technical Department of SHIMISAKHTEMAN.
Method of Use Surface Preparation The substrate must be firm, clean, dry and free from all contamination (e.g. oil, grease, fats, chemicals, rust, paint, form release and curing membrane residues, etc.). All loose particles and excess laitance should be removed by mechanical or chemical methods. The freshly applied cementitious mixtures must be cured at least 28 days.
Mixing For optimum performance, all components should be conditioned to between (18°C and 25°C) prior to use. Pour all Component B (hardener) into pail containing Component A (resin). Mix thoroughly by gloved hand or slow speed mixer to avoid air entrapment. Pour mixed liquids into mortar mixer. While mixing, slowly add Component C (aggregate) and mix until a homogenous and lump free mixture is achieved.
Application
It can be applied by variety of instruments such as trowel, scraper or filling knife on to the prepared surface.
Cleaning
Uncured material may be cleaned from application tools, etc. by using thinner. Cured material can only be removed mechanically.
Consumption
It depends on the surface condition but as a guide, it is about 1.7kg/m² for 1mm.
Packaging
EP1, EP2 are supplied in 5.5 kg sets as:
A=1000 g, B=500 g, C=4000 g
Shelf life and Storage
EP1, EP2 has a shelf life of 12 months if kept in a dry store between 5°C and 30°C in the original unopened containers. The product should be protected from frost, away from direct sunlight and sources of heat.
