Chemical Resistance
FARCOTOP EP300 has a good resistance In contact with many kinds of chemical solutions such as: Mineral oils, water and sea water and weak acids.
Method of
Use Surface Preparation
The substrate must be firm, clean, dry and free from all contamination (e.g. oil, grease, fats, chemicals, rust, paint, form release and curing membrane residues, etc.). All loose particles and excess laitance should be removed by mechanical or chemical methods. The freshly applied cementitious mixtures must be cured at least 28 days.
Priming
In order to improve the surface properties and enhance the adhesion of mortar to the substrate apply a layer of primer which is a mixture of only
Parts A and B, apply EP300 while the primer is steel tacky. The pot life @ 25˚c is about 30min, if it dries before mortar application; recoat it with newly prepared primer.
Mixing
For optimum performance, all components should be conditioned between (18°C and 25°C) prior to use. Pour all Component B (hardener) into pail containing Component A (resin). Mix thoroughly by gloved hand or slow speed mixer to avoid air entrapment. Pour mixed liquids into mortar mixer. While mixing, slowly add Component C (aggregate) and mix until a homogenous and lump free mixture is achieved.
Application
It can be applied by variety of instruments such as trowel, scraper or filling knife on to the prepared surface.
Cleaning
Uncured material may be cleaned from application tools, etc. by using thinner. Cured material can only be removed mechanically.
Consumption
It depends on the surface condition but as a guide, it is about 18kg/m² for 1cm.
Packaging
EP300 is supplied in 5.7 kg sets as:
A=1000 g, B=500 g, C=4200 g
Shelf life and Storage
EP300 has a shelf life of 12 months if kept in a dry store between 5°C and 30°C in the original unopened containers. The product should be protected from frost, away from direct sunlight and sources of heat.
