Method of Use
Surface Preparation
- Concrete surfaces: must be clean and dry. Wire brush thoroughly and remove dust and contaminants.
- Metal surfaces: remove any corrosion or mill scale by grit or shot blast. Degrease the surfaces with cloth soaked in oil free cleaning solvent.
- Wood substrate: must be clean and dry, cut back or abrade where necessary
Priming
A single coat of primer should be applied by brush. The primer must be allowed to dry for a minimum period of one hour before applying PS should be applied within 24 hours of priming.
Mixing
- Pour entire content of part B into part A pail and mix for 3 to 5 minutes, using a paddle fitted to a 500 r.p.m electric drill.
- Do not subdivide the components
- Failure to completely disperse curing agent throughout the base compound will result in uncured sealant.
Application
- PS should be used immediately once mixed.
- Gun with nozzles can be used for easy application
- Tool the sealant with light pressure to spread the material against the joint surfaces, this operation should be made with spatula soaked in soapy water.
- For good performance, it is essential that the sealant is only bonded to the two facing sides of the joint, to achieve this, install a back up material (closed cell polyethylene or open cell polyurethane foam )
- Application temperature is between 4 to 40°c
Cleaning
Clean uncured materials with solvent and cured materials mechanically.

Joint Dimensions
- Joints width with minimum 5 mm to max 50 mm
- Joints with cyclic movements should have width: depth ratio of 2:1
- Sealant depth shall not exceed joint width
- Minimum sealant depth recommend for :
Metals and glass is 5 mm, all porous surfaces are 10mm, joints exposed to traffic and hydrostatic pressures are 20mm.
- 5 mm below flush for joints exposed to traffic
