Waterstop Selection
- The waterstop is selected according to the Type of joint, thickness of concrete, the movement of joint and water pressure.
- Generally the thickness of the concrete should be greater than or equal to the width of the waterstop profile. In addition the width of the waterstop be at least 6 times greater than the largest size of the aggregates.

Preparation and Placing
- The surface of the waterstop must be clean and oil free to have Maximum bonding to concrete
- Use hog rings crimped between the last two ribs and wire tie the waterstop to the reinforcing steel.
- Install in the center of the joint, with half of the width embedded in the concrete on each side of the joint.
- In expansion joint, take care during the concrete placement to keep the center bulb unembedded and in the center of the joint.
- It is made of thermoplastic P.V.C therefore can be welded by use of welding blade, the waterstop can be heated (200°c- 250°c) until the material gets plastic, and then pressed together
Packaging
E17, 19, 24, 25, and 30 is supplied in 25m rolls and O24, 30, E32, EF30, OF30 is supplied in 20m rolls.
