FARCOTOP 200

Uses

• Non-bitumen elastic membrane for waterproofing inverted roofs, concrete arches, bathrooms, gypsum boards and thatch facades.

Instruction for Use

Surface Preparation

• Surfaces must be sound, stable, dry, clean and free of dust, loose, flaking, friable material and substances that may diminish adhesion.
• Repair the removed areas with mortars (sand, cement) which are modified with emulsion polymers such as SA12 or SA46 according to their usage instructions.

• In case of low concrete surface quality with too much defects which should be removed, it is recommended to apply the whole surface with layer of polymer modified mortar then coat it with FARCOTOP 200.

Application

• Mix thoroughly the contents of the pail Apply a layer of primer (1part AL10 + 4 parts water) with a brush on to the prepared surface, then after drying perform FARCOTOP200 with trowel or airless spray.
• For improving the performance in hip roofs, arches and bath room’s walls, it is recommended to reinforce the membrane with polymer net. While the membrane is not set yet, put the acrylic net on it and gently trowel until the paste comes out of the pores.
• When FARCOTOP 200 is used as thatch, shake the straw on newly applied coating and gently trowel it in order that the straw slightly penetrates, finally apply a layer of diluted AL10 on to the dried surface.
• As a decorative coating on asphalts, firstly wash the surface, secondly apply a layer of diluted AL10, thirdly apply 2 layers of FARCOTOP 200 and at the end apply the diluted AL10 again.
