FARCOTOP 110

Uses

• Under tile waterproofing on balconies, terraces, podiums, decks, toilets, arches and slope substrates on surfaces such as: Concrete, drywall and cement renders.
• Waterproofing of potable water tanks and sewage tanks
• As a strengthening coating together with polymer nets on Styrofoam.
• Repairing and waterproofing concrete pipes

Advantages

• Despite the traditional waterproofing membranes like bitumen, FARCOTOP110 needs no protecting wall in front of it; in addition it is resistant in high ambient temperature and direct sunlight.
• Tiles are installed directly on top of it with the usage of Tile adhesives.
• Suitable for contact with drinking water.
• Can be painted with different colors.

Coverage

The consumption depends on surface profile, texture and wastage. Generally it is about 2 to 5 kg/m² for thickness of 2 to 4mm.

Instruction for Use

Surface Preparation

• Surfaces must be sound, stable, dry, clean and free of dust, loose, flaking, friable material and substances that may diminish adhesion.
• Repair the removed areas with mortars (sand, cement) which are modified with emulsion polymers such as SA12 or SA46 according to their usage instructions.
• In case of low concrete surface quality with too much defects which should be removed, it is recommended to apply the whole surface with a layer of polymer modified mortar then coat it with FARCOTOP 110.

Mixing

Thoroughly mix parts A and B with a slow speed mixer or by gloved hand until a homogenous and lump free paste is achieved. Mix enough material to be used within an hour.

Application

• Apply a layer of primer (1part SA12or SA46+3 parts water) with a brush on to the prepared surface and while it is still tacky apply the paste by trowel with max.4 mm thickness, with or without polymer net.
• If the hydrostatic pressure is high apply FARCOTOP 110 in 2 layers.
• FARCOTOP 110 contains high amount of cement, damp the surface prior to application, protect the surface before and after application from direct sunlight and damp cure the treated surface for a few days.
• Keep the packages in areas with suitable situation and avoid the mixture temperature above 25˚c.
