Application

• A major use for this product is in accelerated Shot- crete for mining, tunneling or rock stabilization operations where rapid set or high early strength are required for structural support.
• Shotcrete for structural tunnel repairs.
• Ground and slope stabilization.

Method of use

FARCOCRET-P1 should be blended thourouly with the dry shotcrete mix before introduction to the shotcreting equipment.

FARCOCRET-P1 can be dispensed with a powder dozer.

The accelerator only begins to work once water is added at the nozzle.

When using damp sand P1 must be added to the mixture immediately prior to discharge into the shotcrete gun.

Dosage

• FARCORET-P1 is normally dosed at a rate of 2% – 6% by mass of cementitious materials.
• Dosages will vary depending on desired acceleration, ambient conditions, cement used and W/C ratio.
• Overdosing may lead to setting before the concrete reaches the surface and increase rebound.
• The long-term strength may decrease if high dosage is used

Compatibility

FARCOCRET-P1 can be used with other SHIMISAKHTEMAN admixtures such as:

• FARSIZAL AIR as an air entraining agent for improving the workability and reduction the segregation and bleeding.
• P1 can be mixed with steel fibers to replace steel mesh or FARCPO FIBER (PP fiber) to reduce shrinkage cracks.
• SHIMI SAKHTEMAN plasticizers or super- plasticizers, in order to reduce the water content.
• Do not mix with other accelerators.

Packaging

P1 is supplied in 15 kg bags.

Storage

Store in original sealed containers and protect from humidity.

Shelf life

12 month in original sealed containers and stored in dry warehouse condition (+5°c to +30°c). Protect from frost.

Safety and Handling Precautions

Avoid contact with eyes and skin.

In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of running water. Use suitable protective gloves, goggles and face masks
