FARCOFORM
Concrete Formwork Release Agent
Product Description
FARCOFORM chemical mould release agent is a specially formulated blend of mineral oils, selected additives and hydrocarbon carrier.
It is suitable for use on steel, timber, polymer and plastic moulds. Chemically active ingredients in applied form releasing agents on forms will react with cement alkali to form metallic soap; these substances will antifoam air bubbles. Secondly, in continuation of reaction of release agent with calcium ions, insoluble soaps in water is obtained, these materials will act as barriers and not to bond forms to concrete products.

- Make concrete product surface even with less bug holes, stains and irregularities
- Protect forms or formworks and keep their lives much longer
- No negative effects on the hardened concrete surface properties
- No negative influence and reaction on cement hydration when applied in thin layer.
Method of Use
Mixing
FARCOFORM is a ready to use product and no need for pre-blending or dilution.
Form Preparation
- All moulds, new or used, must be cleaned of surface deposits of rust, concrete, oil or other materials. Inadequate cleaning may lead to surface blemishes due to the adhering material.
- Apply two subsequent coats on wooden forms to overcome absorption of release agent.
Application
Apply a thin layer with any type of applicator or technique. Use spray, roller, brush or mop. Too much release agent will cause bug holes and worm tracks and may interfere with cement hydration.
Coverage rate
Depending on the type and porosity of the forms, varies from 20 to 70 m2 per liter of FARCOFORM.
