Standard Compliance
FARCOGROUT 1000 is evaluated according to the following standards: ASTM C1107, C827, C940
Product Data
Appearance cream powder
Specific Gravity 1.6 kg/l
Chloride None
Application
- Making non-shrink grout for filling gaps
- Making grout for machinery base plates
- Neat cement grouting for cable ducts, ground anchors, stabilization work, etc.
- Concrete mixtures which need to eliminate shrinkage, control expansion and water reduction at the same time.
Advantages
- Expanding and plasticizing at the same time
- Due to reduction of water content the early and final strength of cementitious mixtures improved, the penetration reduced and the durability increased.
- Provides a volume increase to wet mixes helping to fill voids in tunnel linings, cable ducts, etc.
- Making highly flowable cement based mixtures
Preparation for Grouting and Concreting
For grouting, concrete surfaces must be structurally sound, free of grease, oils, coatings, dust, curing compounds and other contaminants. Saturate the prepared area with potable water for 6 to 24 hours before application and remove excess water prior to grouting. The dosage rate is 1000 to 1500 g per 100 kg cement, it is recommended to adjust the optimum dosage according to the cement type, nature of aggregates, temperatures and required properties.

Mixing
- Grout and slurry: Pour the measured clean water into the mixer; slowly add the cement and sand if required and 1000. Mix continuously for 5 minutes, making sure that a smooth even consistency is obtained.
- Concrete: For dry mixing process add FARCOGROUT1000 with cement. For wet mixing process, add 1000 prior to placement and mix for 3 to 5 minutes before casting.
Formwork and Placement
- The forms on the placement side should extend above the bottom of the plate to form a head box. The head box should begin (50 to 100 mm) from the plate and slope away from the plate at about 45 degrees. The slope on the form permits the grout to be poured under the plate with a minimum of turbulence and air entrapment. The form on the opposite side should be (50 to 100 mm) from the plate and should extend at least 1 in. (25 mm) above the bottom of the plate.
- The recommended internal temperature of mixture is 15-28˚c.
- Place the grout within 20 minutes of mixing to gain the full benefit of the expansion process
- All placements should be made from one side of the plate. Placement should begin at one end of the plate and continue at that point until the grout rises above the bottom of the plate on the opposite side of the plate.
- Adjust the water content according to the dosage rate, strength, flow, cement and aggregate nature.
- Adjust the flowbility to have a non-bleeding and non-segregating mixture
- Wet cure the placed grout for almost 5days.
Packaging
FARCOGROUT 1000 is supplied in 1, 8 and 20 kg pails.
